To many times the signal lights stop working or difficult because
- Slide switch is warped because of age or worn out
- Bowden Cable linkage is binding inside the column.
- The 90 degree lever Binds, breaking the Directional Control Ring
A worn or warped slide switch will also cause intermittent brakes light/signal lights which will send you in many directions on repair. We have a simple and inexpensive solution. We remove the slide switch and Bowden cable and replace with micro switches rated a 1,000,000,000 pulls. These microswitches are activated when the directional control ring (inside the column) and moved left or right and activates the control box to activate the left or right signal. The wires from the column replace the Bowden cable and look like the original. The Control box replaces the slide switch and plugs into the factory 6 position connector. You will plug the “red” power wire into the fuse panel to a “switch-on” fuse.
Your Directional Control Ring (DCR) Core: Your DCR core will need to be unbroken and the turn signal arm threads in good shape. If you don’t have a core, a $40.00 core charge will apply. You will need to send us the DCR for your application (Car or FC) as they look similar, the angle of the turn signal arm is different. If you want your DCR modified, it may add a week to your order time.

Will it work with the standard flasher? Yes... all it does is replace the slide switch.
Will it support LED? Yes. Again, the flasher will need to be changed to support LED operation.
